The American Gold Eagle is a highly sought-after investment coin the United States Mint minted. They were first introduced in 2021, In honor of the 35th anniversary of the American Gold Eagles. For the first time since their 1986 introduction, the Gold and Silver Eagles updated design features a refreshed image of Lady Liberty on the obverse, with a detailed depiction of a soaring eagle on the reverse.

Each coin is struck in 22Goldat Gold, weighing a one-tenth troy ounce, and has a diameter of 16.5 millimeters and a thickness of 1.19 millimeters. The gold content of the American Gold Eagle is backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government, making it a highly secure investment option.

Obverse: Adapted from Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ famed Gold Double Eagle design, which features Lady Liberty in front of the Capitol building holding a fiery torch and an olive branch in her left in her right hand. Her hair is flowing back behind her in the wind signifying forward movement against a background of sun rays.
Reverse: A bold close-up portrait of an eagle designed by Jennie Norris. This is the first new design introduced since the series began in 1986.
